Restaurant This restaurant is located off the main drag of downtown New Paltz. They offer a very good menu with something for everyone. They also have a Sunday morning brunch that is very good. There are two levels to the restaurant so there is plenty of room. I have had a private party in the upstairs section of the dining room for my daughters christening. They did a fabulous job!
I love this place! Barnaby's has been a staple in New Paltz for years. After a few changes of hands and a renovation this is an impressive establishment. Their are two levels so it is rare to have to wait in line. The food is delicious no matter what your in the mood for. The appetizers, sandwiches and entrees are all great. The only thing that may turn so people of is that it can be quite loud due to the high ceilings. This is more of an issues upstairs than downstairs. The downstairs is a more intimate setting.
beautiful restaurant this place is an old movie theater and one of the best restaurants in new paltz. I love the food and the desert is always amazing. Great place to bring friends and family
Barnabys Restaurant and Pub We have been there many times since the remodel. We have never had to wait for a table. When we were uncomfortable (temperature) we asked to be moved and were accommodated immediately and politely. We love the upstairs room but the acoustics are not great. It's an old theatre with very high ceilings. However, it is very well decorated and most tables provide some privacy. The menu is large and eclectic.Service has always been good.
Terrible place don't waste your money Terrible. Do not go here. The wait is forever for food even when you are the only people in the restaurant. And don't expect coffee, they turn the machine off at their own whim and you have to wait another 5 minutes for it to get ready. The staff wants to do a good job but they are untrained and unprofessional. The place isn't that clean, even the restroom was a mess, although staff was there doing nothing. fair Barnabys has been around forever, and it is a huge biulding with two floors. I only came once with a party, and I wasnot that impressed with the service or the food.
