A GREAT lunch place. This, as the name suggests, is in an old Barn. It is part gift shop and part lunch place. Old 50's style Formica tables & chairs mix and mingle among gifts, gourmet foods and decorative accessories. The items for sale, including the fresh pies, delicious jams and hand crafted items are all local to Iowa. If you are looking for a GREAT place to meet a friend for lunch, or to buy a gift for a transported Iowan this is it... The only draw back is their very limited hours. 11-3 W,Th, F & S.
A hidden gem. Barn happy is an amazing gift shop/eatery located just outside of Dike, IA. There are many items for sale that are made from local Iowans. The homemade pies, and jelly are simply delicious. This is a place that seems like it came from the Amana Colonies. Very nice.

The smells of food were amazing!! We didn’t eat because our 11 year old was with. Our first trip and surely not our last. Everything is so well done; adorable, happy, fun place. The owner greeted us and shared some of the history with us and she’s delightful! We found a few treasures!! They were steady busy which is fantastic to see! Thank you so much!
