Denton is getting to be the emerging brew pub destination. I went to the Barley and Board on the square last night for my family birthday dinner. I had the pork tenderloin. Very well prepared. Beers appeared to be from regional micro breweries. Definitely recommend,

Wally and I will be back regularly. Beautiful use of the space. No detail was overlooked from the furniture to the plates and utensils. Food and drink were delicious. The large windows were perfect and added natural light on a gorgeous Sunday morning at the bar.

Ok, lifeless bartenders with zero personality. Way too brightly lit and loud. Burnt potato chips with bad cheese sauce sprinkled with blue cheese. Gnocchi was burnt. Deep fried quail was WAY spicy and I like spicy. Flavor was good but reminded me of eating something fried at the state fair. After $130 I'm not real satisfied. I'll travel to Dallas next time I want big time food.

Got there a little after 4pm and they were in the midst of changing shifts, but they handled the situation well. The atmosphere is laid back and quite relaxing. Our server, Collin, was well versed in both the food and beer menus. To start off, we had one of the local Audacity Brew House lagers; the Sweet & Spicy Mixed Nuts; and Roasted Bone Marrow. The nuts were fabulous. The Bone Marrow, I will get back to later. For entrées, I ha... read more

I liked the atmosphere it had a very rustic feel, but the prices were not pub related nor was the food. They have a good beer selection. The mushroom fries were amazing. I had the pulled pork but it wasn't anything to talk about. This place is new so hopefully this is just the adjustment period.
