At the time we were there they were cleaning and the smell was bad
Business response:
How very unusual. . We are sorry for that perception, we can assure you, we clean well in advance of opening our business. . Please feel free to speak to a manager or write us with your concerns... Info@BarleyAndHops.Net . We will most assuredly look into this. Thank you
With owners like Lori and Farrell who are not only witty and friendly but superbly creative, you know the menu is going to be fresh as well as tasty. One mainstay that is my personal favorite is the fried chicken salad. I love the quality of the chicken and bacon. I order it with the honey mustard dressing which is actually homemade at the restaurant. My whole family has favorites at BH. I highly recommend the restaurant!
Terrible management and service. No organization. Complete lack of customer service.
Last night was the first time that I have been to Barley and Hopes since Farrell Keough and his wife took over about three years ago, I like the changes they have made, it looks cleaner and brighter inside. The addition of live music such as acoustic or blues is nice while having a late dinner and it is not to loud. The Menu has a nice selection to choose from and prices are reasonable depending on what you are getting $$-$$$ the wife and I had sandwiches with addons and a couple drinks and the bill was only in the mid $50's... read more
Let's start with great beer!!!! food ,service, and owner not so good..If you have a lot of time to waste go for it... not a place to take your family out on a Friday night.. music is super loud and they lack staffing to handle any kind of business.... good luck...

As you, (a former and disgruntled employee) have not visited this restaurant in well over a year, we are perplexed at your decision to write this review at this time. We hope you are doing well in your ventures away from this business...
I ate there yesterday with my husband and friend. I have always liked the place. We ordered quite a bit but one dish that we ordered to share had steak bites riddled with very hard gristle that we could not eat. The waiter asked us how everything was and we told him we liked everything but the steak and could not eat it. He said he was sorry and abruptly walked away. Minutes later he brought our tab without us requesting it and the steak was on the $100 bill. Needless to say, we won’t be back. I don’t ever send anything back... read more

We are terribly sorry about your perceptions. One of our best servers handled your table. After you ate virtually all of your meal, you told him of your displeasure. In these instances, we cannot offer to take such an order off your check. We hope you find a restaurant that will do this for you and meet your needs and desires....
The only redeeming quality is the brewmaster Eric. Unfortunately, both the owners and the staff members are extremely unprofessional and rude. Their “mug club” renews every January which is unfair if you renew in the fall just FYI and the bartenders fail to tell you this. Food is mediocre at best. The whole point of restaurant’s is customer service and they fail miserably at this. Don’t waste your money here. Also, probably not the best look to have your owner walking around intoxicated with a glass of whiskey in his hand, u... read more
