My Yelp review I just love this neighborhood gem. Barlago offers three lovely ambiances sure to please all tastes: al fresco facing lovely Lake Merritt, in a booth by the bar, or at a table in the main dining room. We come here regularly and enjoy the entire menu, but most often we choose one of their salads and a pizza. (The salmon pizza is our particular favorite.) The service is attentive and friendly. We always recommend Barlago to friends looking for a nice evening out in Oakland.
BarLago was a new restaurant for us, and everyone in our group was very pleased. The food and drinks were excellent. There was one small problem with an item, and both the waitress and chef went well beyond expectations to address that. They could not have handled it better. We all agreed that we'd return. The chicken Marsala was the best I've ever had!

The food is always good. The staff really goes out of their way to provide quality sevice, even when over the top busy. I will return!
