Grow up dog owners!!!! Before you go accusing people of hitting your dog take a second to think about the situation. Your dog may be very well behaved in their familiar home environment but in a kennel there are at least 40+ other dogs in there barking. it is very stressful for some dogs who arent used to it and may cause them diarrhea for a couple of days, ask your vet its true! and if you dont bring in their regular food, switching it to our and then back to yours will upset their stomach again possibly the cause of diarrh... read more

aggie00 I recently took both my dogs to the Webster location. When I picked them up their large pet bed was pretty much soaked in urine! We had to roll the windows down in our vehicle because the bed smelled so bad we could barely breathe!! So they obviously were not walked three days a week because both my dogs are housebroken and have been for years. No telling how long they layed on that urine soaked bed! Over charged billing........... We left our Yorkie at the Fresno, Tx location for 10 days while on vacation. When we returned, they added extra charges to my bill. I am very displeased with the services and will never take my dog there again. My Yorkie acted very withdrawn until i got her home in her own environment. She also had diahrea for several days. I called every day to check on her and they kept telling me she was fine. ??????? I think they tell you what they think you want to hear.

You people are rediculous I am a former employee of several kennels (including Barkington) and I really must tell you that some people (and their dogs) just cannot be pleased. When you coddle your animal like a child, they begin to act like a child. An irrational child with sharp teeth and a means to inflict sever damage on a handler. I can GUARANTEE that NO EMPLOYEE of Barkington Inn has ever consciously or purposefully caused harm or stress to an animal (no matter how many times the employee has been harmed by said animal)... read more

Extremely Dissatisfied My husband and I dropped off our dog at 2:40pm on a Saturday. We checked on the webcam at 9:30pm and found our dog W/O food and water. I called to get someone to put water in there, but still there was no food put into the room. Next, we were able to get online on Monday and noticed the room had not been cleaned. I emailed to ask why the room hadn't been cleaned and also notify them of the concerns I had. false statements is a way of life at Barkington We pick up our corgi on 12-30-2007 at 2:40 PM. She was to be bathed and ready to go home at 2. First they could not find her. When did find her they said someone had put in a different cage. She did not look or smell clean but a lot of owners was picking up there pets so I did not persuade it. At home we found the dog with bloody diarrhea and both knees very painful to move. The kennel closed at 4PM. No need to try calling. Some satisfaction from manager Three and a half hours after picking up the dogs from the kennel, my brother received a call from the manager of Barkington Inn. It started out with the manager claiming that it was my brother and sister-in-law's error in making the reservation for their dogs, and that they had only booked their dogs until Saturday, and NOT Sunday. Extremely Dissatisfied ... cont. He was treated badly from the beginning and his territorial behavior is from that. It's not until he was cornered and lassoed that he began to bark. I'm sorry, but you cannot corner a dog and lasso a dog you don't know and doesn't know you. No wonder he was territorial and "escaped" the second he could. The lassoing thing was uncalled for. Never using them again I had gone out of state due to a tragedy in the family & my husband came shortly later & left our greyhound there as well. My husband had told me that when he picked up our dog, he was very extremely nervous & had sensitive knees, tender to the touch & squeeled when you touched him (like he was on concrete) & we paid for a LUXURY SUITE, he also had bloody diareah & had fecies all over him, I would guess my baby laid in it for quit some time.
