I would rate him a zero if it was possible. He treated me two years for RA. I've gone through every possible medication you could think of and stayed on steroids for 2 years. Hey then decided to retire and I was sent to see a doctor at MUSC. I was told by that doctor and yet another one that I did not have RA, I never had RA. Dr. Barfield is extremely knowledgeable in the field of rhumethology. He has treated me for the past nine years for fibromyalgia. Last year I began to show signs of RA. Knowing my family history he sent me for testing. He was correct and has been so very kind to me throughout my treatment process. I am not an easy patient as I have medicine sensitivities, fibromyalgia, RA, IC and a problem with wanting to except any of these conditions. He continues to help me each step of the way.
