I don’t have complaints about the person I saw. I’m sure that most people would feel safe, comfortable, and emotionally held by that therapist. I wish I were one of those people. The whole problem I’m seeking help with is that I’m not one of those people. My issue here is that you don’t choose whom you work with. Charged $195 for an appointment I cancelled due to circumstances out of my control. Seems excessive. I had 18 appointments covered by insurance but it’s my impression Barewell may prefer charging these one time fees rather than getting paid much more for 18 visits. They can legally charge these fees, but I can also legally choose to find another provider and take my 18 covered visits elsewhere.
