I made the mistake of going to Bard Optical in Galesburg, IL. They cancelled my follow up appointment yesterday as I was leaving to go to the appointment (the appointment was to correct my contact prescription that wasn't correct from the previous visit). My reschedule appointment was for 10:20 today and as of now (10:45) I'm still waiting to get in to see the optometrist.
Frauds told me my insurance would not cover my exam and my contact lenses but I just seen a paid claim by my insurance and I paid for the exam out of pocket I can’t wait to call these crooks tomorrow
Very rude service! Employee lacked customer service abilities and very contradicting as to what she had told me one month prior! I DON'T recommend the Canton office to anyone at all!
Didn’t know eye appointments take 2 hours. The place was empty, 1 person who was in the back already, and it still took an hour and a half for my daughter to be seen. I got glasses from here and after returning several times to get them fitted properly to my head they still just fall off. Would not recommend wasting your time.
They are really nice people...
Rude service and high prices. I’ve been there several times over the years and it just never changes. I’m done trying. Will NOT be back.

Because I have medicare and medicaid for insurance I have to settle for low quality product and they do not care if I receive my glasses in a timely manner. Not all of us who have to use medicaid and medicare are low class people.
Only issue was having to wait 30 minutes to get my eyeglass prescription as the employee was on a lunch break, but otherwise the employee working was nice and friendly. I only have medical card and Medicare for insurance, and had a lot of selections to choose from. I am just disappointed that with medical card insurance it can take 6 to 8 weeks for my prescription to come in. I would have gladly got a pair while waiting for them to come in if I had money, but sadly with being a low-income guy I couldn't afford it. Not much t... read more
