This is a fantastic hobby, one you can spend a lifetime doing. I should know...I have! I started in high school-I have friends all over, sung in many venues, and have truly loved and enjoyed the ride. You can walk into a chapter anywhere, and the only thing that anyone wants to know is “what part do you sing?” I defy you to find any other hobby that has that kind of fellowship, that sense of family and belonging.

I sang in a chorus & quartet for years. Now I support our local Men's barbershop chorus in Decatur, IL. In fact, the guys rehearse in Decatur at Westminster Presbyterian Church at corner of W. Main & N. Fairview on Monday nights at 7:30 pm. Info: call Bob 217 423-5611 or Patsy 217 791-3627.

I had a great visit to Harmony Hall. It's an office, but it's got so much barbershop memorabilia and historical artefacts, and such welcoming staff, that it's almost a museum of barbershop. Antonio showed me around for over an hour, and that was time out of his regular working day - nobody there is employed as a tour guide, so it's incredibly generous of the staff that they'll do this for visitors.
