As a 40 + year member, the comraderie continues to touch my soul.
I had no choice but to love barbershop. I was born into it. My dad was a Dixie District Champion and an International semi-finalist with his quartet, The Southern Aristocrats. I was able to join the society at the age of 16. That was my birthday present from my parents. They paid my first year's dues to join. Since that time I have had the honor to have won the Dixie District myself in 1980 with my quartet The Vocal Impressions.
