Came in for a 2 day old newborn pediatric apt. Dr. Johnston comes into the room, skips any introduction, and goes straight to weighing my son. He was born at 9.2 lbs and lost some birth weight due to lack of colostrum production and a heavy appetite. She begins making comments “I can’t believe he isn’t lethargic” “I can’t believe he isn’t jaundiced” “he needs formula immediately.” Mind you, his condition was completely normal.
