I lost a veneer and went to Dr. Delucia for help. She prepped my tooth for a veneer AFTER we had discussed having the tooth capped instead. There was much confusion but she eventually got it right. My big problem with her is that I'm a man in my 70's with BPH (enlarged prostate) so I need to use the boy's room often which did not sit well with her as she bluntly would tell me. Dr. Delucia is the most painful dentist I have ever been too. Tried to stay with her as I am new to the area thinking maybe it was me as I had the same dentists office out of state for 25 years. Needed multiple appointments to have crowns done. Does not explain procedures and what she is doing. Always waiting in office for quite a while even though I arrive on time for my scheduled appointment.Requires payment before work is completed and in my case she is a Delta Dental subscriber and has not refunded my overpayment. I had a dental emergency. My dentist was not available until Dec 1st. Dr. DeLucia and staff made time for me to come in and relieve my pain! I suffer from dental anxiety. Dr. DeLucia relieved all my fear and my pain. This is a fabulous Doctor who actually has fabulous and friendly staff as well! I will be back!
Dr. DeLucia has done excellent work for me over 20 years. The work at one time included a delicate procedures that I also consulted an other dentist on who referred me back to Dr. DeLucia . After being away from the area for some time, I needed to go see Dr. DeLucia for an extraction. Both the Doctor and staff were professional and caring. Dr. DeLucia took the time to explain what was needed and made sure my questions were answered. I felt the office went above and beyond handling my concerns and made my dental work a breeze.
My husband lost his 2 front teeth at 12 from a bicycle accident, after 49 years with his 2 front teeth being on a retainer it broke. In April 2017 he went to Dr DeLucia, she recommended a 4 tooth bridge. In Oct. 2017 the bridge broke and she repaired it with pins placed in one anchor tooth. In Oct. 2019 it broke again on the other anchor tooth. Our new dentist replaced the bridge with a 6 tooth bridge. He said both anchor teeth were over reduced and the tooth with the pins had decay. You said the tooth that fractured: "it was possibly due to moving sideways with my sleep apnea mask" The tooth had no decay either at seating the bridge or at the time of fracture. We made the bridge only ONCE; not twice as you stated. The teeth were compromised by large fillings. Seeing the light shade, I thought the bridge should be re-shaded but you approved the shade. You didnt want to wait for the lab to re-shade the bridge. Aetna has not ruled against me.
I made an appointment for a tooth which abscessed. I was told I would be charged $100 for initial visit, that included x-rays of my mouth & teeth. In that visit the staff & dentist took only 1 x-ray, of that tooth only, & none of any of my other teeth. (Which I did question) On the scheduled day of my appointment, the staff called 2 hours before the scheduled time & asked if I could push the appointment back 2 1/2-3 hours. I had a crown down recently by Dr.DeLucia and it is just perfect! It feels like my natural tooth. Dr.DeLucia is very particular and professional. She seemed to be very personable ,warm and genuine. I felt very comfortable with her and her outstanding sweet staff. The Assistant Rita was very attentive and answered my dental concerns. I wanted to share my visit with everyone. Wonderful Dentist! I've had a lot of dental work done by Dr. DeLucia and I am very pleased with all of it. I recommend her to all of our friends and family! Also her staff is so kind!
