Dr Welsch was loving, compassionate and efficient at helping our sweet dog Honey cross the ‘rainbow bridge’. We wouldn’t ask anyone else!
My mother used her for her cat, and there were complications where she didn’t give enough of the dose to help him pass peacefully quickly, so it was traumatic for my mother. I just hope that it was not traumatic for the cat and caused him pain.
If you’re looking for “a compassionate way” to euthanize your pet, please look elsewhere. I regret reaching out to Dr. Welsch. From making repeated comments about how our dog was old but wasn’t that old and how our dog’s heartbeat kept going strong while she did 3 different injections of the heart-stopping medication (what she said was 3x the usual dose), to dripping that heart-stopping medication as well as our dog’s blood on our bed (what was intended to be a space of comfort for us/our dog), to asking for payment within s... read more
Dr. Welsch is truly an angel. I’ve unfortunately had to utilize her services multiple times throughout the years. If I have the choice, I will never again euthanize in the “scary and unfamiliar place” that is a vet’s office. At-home euthanasia allows your human and fuzzy family the ability to grieve in the comfort of your own home, it also gives your other pets an opportunity to say goodbye and to find closure- I loathe those times I see my other pets wandering around searching for where they went. I’m just so grateful to have been able to let my cat go as gently as possible. I highly recommend Dr. Welsch’s services when it comes time for that difficult choice. As someone who has done social work for years working with people who experience great trauma I have an eye for people who have the understanding it takes to walk others with home with dignity, compassion, and respect. She facilitated that for us remarkably.
