Got a quote from Barbagallo to replace the thermostat on my Alfa 156. Their hourly rate of $250 seems high for a non-Ferrari/Lambo/Maserati, but it was the 3 hours labour they quoted that surprised me. Along with the extra $100 they added to the price of the part (over what I was quoted at 2 other places), giving a total of around $1200. I ended up taking it to the mechanic who looks after my 1978 Spider. He replaced it in 1 hour and charged me accordingly, which is pretty much what YouTube told me.
