Forget the chain restaurants. Barattas's is the best. Went there for Father's day and from start to finish, the food the service, the people. There's a reason it's a Des Moines go to restaurant.
We visited on Father’s Day. Our 2nd time visiting. Overall the food was a huge let down. We started with fried mushrooms which were okay. Very heavily breaded & not very warm. My husband ordered cavatelli & ate a bite or two and pushed it away. The noodles were super mushy. I ordered chicken parm & Alfredo. Again it was okay.
