This was our first visit. We ordered everything. Grilled peaches, duck confit, steak tartare, ricotta gnocchi, mussels, scallops and the cheeseburger special for the table. Everything was delicious. The mussels were tender and flavorful, the gnocchi was rich and filling, the scallops were cooked to perfection. We look forward to visiting again in the fall.
Outstanding, HIGHLY recommend doing the tasting menu. We even got an off the menu item by doing the tasting menu and it was phenomenal. Can't wait to go back!
You cannot order their burger if you sit at a table, you must sit at the bar. What kind of policy is this? The excuse you ask? “The grill is too small”, so get a bigger grill? I brought a whole group of people from out of town to dine in and we had to sit split up at the bar for them to try it; never again. No dish is that good.
Bar Pigalle absolutely blew us away. Everything about the experience was excellent from start to finish. Kevin, our server and one of the founders, shared the story of how the restaurant came to be, which made the evening even more special. The food was wildly creative and absolutely delicious, the drinks were fantastic, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. We were all thrilled we chose Bar Pigalle and will definitely be back!
I had never heard of this restaurant as we do not go downtown Detroit often, but it was a standout of our anniversary experience! My wife and I ordered and split bread service, shrimp appetizer and the Steak frites. We finished the dinner with house-made corn ice cream. The entire meal was made to perfection! I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are heading to the downtown area. Totally worth it!
