Awesome Enviroment, No Space! – Bar Mingo is by far one of the best spots in Portland for a classy drink and an ambient environment. The drinks on the menu are delicious, marvelously prepared, and make you smile. The downside is unless you come here during off hours, your not likely to have the patience to wait in line to actually enjoy any of it. The price you pay for a hot spot perhaps? :)
Great Bar – I live downtown so this is a pefect place for me. OMG is the food good. I even was able to get some free food sometimes. I friend did not want to go but I talked him into it.. Wont wait next time.
Good ambiance and menu – Bar Mingo is one of our go-to restaurants. For sure this place will give you a good meal and nice surrounding to look at while you chat with your friends.Since it is located in the NW Nob Hill area, you can't go wrong with walks to bars or coffee after dinner. Plus Plus A+++
Great atmosphere and really good food – I've beeen to bar mingo several times and always leave very pleased. I am a fan of the design and colors used to make the atmosphere vibrant and welcoming. Most importantly, the food is amazing. My staple here is the bolognese, though. bar mingo gets my highest recommendation.
Best Italian in Portland, yet! – We moved to Portland about 3 months ago from NYC and searched high and low for good Italian.. We weren't very successful until last Thursday! Finally, some A-mazing italian in this town. Wonderful specials and loved the atmosphere.. So happy we found you!
Bar Mingo is great Bar Mingo is great- especially for happy hour. In the summer they have a few outside tables for people watching on NW 21st. Wine/beer is very reasonable.
Very dissapointed, weak overpriced drinks. – I tried Bar mingo on a whim, and was very dissapointed, and will not be back. The two drinks I had were weak, and the server didn't have any real care to bring my food within 30 minutes either. For the price, I expected more.
Terrible service. – The party I was with could only speculate that the bartender was hung over. He was bloated, slow, distracted, forgot my drink order, and not at all concerned with being charming, or making any effort at good customer service. I had a $9 margarita that was 75% ice and then still only half full, so that was a bad start. It all ended by having to wait with empty plates and all of our drink glasses for a good twenty minutes while the bartender was in the open kitchen eating and throwing food at the chef. Horrible Service, Rude Server, I will not be back – I was very dissapointed, and will not be back. The server insulted my wife after she was critical of his very slow service. There are plenty of other places around to check out, don't go to this dump.
