I had the absolute most amazing experience here today! I chose an oyster and there was a large black pearl inside. I was educated on the anatomy is the oyster and the pearl itself. The young man asked me where I was from and if this was my first trip to Bar Harbor. I told him that yes, it was my first trip and it was a bucket list trip as I was celebrating my 10 yr anniversary of being cancer free. It turns out that he is 2 yrs cancer free. Amazing place. The worker was so nice to me and made my whole experience great.
Amazing experience here, we were greeted with a smile and a well kept shop. A large tank in the middle held the oysters (you pick, $20 for just the pearl) we selected an oyster and were pleasantly surprised by what the woman said was one of the largest she has seen there. We chose a nice ring to have it set in as a Christmas gift late this year, in all $98 dollars, well worth the stop and will visit again if in the area.
This was such an amazing experience. The staff was knowledgeable and explained the parts of the oyster. You pick your own oyster and they open it for you and putting it on jewelry is optional! Highly recommend.
AWESOME! We found this stop on a list of unique things to do in Bar Harbor! We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon around 4 PM. We were greeted as soon as we entered by the nicest lady we have met in Maine! She told us how It worked, and withing minutes we were examining oysters in a tank to decide which one we were vibing with. We used a long grabber thing to reach in the tank and grab our oyster, 🦪 and we placed it in a bowl and took it to the lady. She shucked the oyster for us and inside was a BEAUTIFUL 7.5mm pink pearl!... read more
