MD Andersen is a joke. My mother wanted to go to Mayo but they had a 7 week wait for AML Leukemia patient vs MD Andersen 3 week in Jacksonville. They started her on the first regime before having her genetic sequencing back which came back 2 weeks after treatment started. The first regimen put her close to remission but still not there. There is a very successful targeted treatment for her IDH1 mutation but going into the 2nd rd, the Tumor board denied it expect for last resort even though they gave her 5 months to live when... read more
