My husband just spent 9 days in Baptist Hospital - he had a mild stroke and AFIB- he was on the 4th floor and moved to 9th floor. We have never experienced such compassion, caring, helpful and outstanding staff. The attention to him and myself was unbelievable. I only wish I had the names of each one we came in contact with. After searching extensively for a highly rated, experienced surgeon for my condition, I fortunately was able to find Dr. Dillen at Baptist hospital in Pensacola. From the first very detailed, not rushed, discussion of my situation, I felt Dr. Dillen was the right choice. My procedure was not a common or easy one and I'm confident it wouldn't have had the same outstanding results with just any surgeon. I'm very happy and grateful to all the caring and professional staff I encountered while at Baptist.
From the first day my husband was admitted we had problems with some of the nurses . They had bad attitudes and talked down to us both. The food was horrible. I know hospital food is not great but the grapes were shriveled and old. He ordered red potato hash, he got limp potato wedges. The coffee was cold and was only half a cup.
