The doctor is being non-compliant with the insurance benefits and billing through himself not the facility. He charged us our $70 co-pay, which is our only obligation, then has the nerve to charge an additional $692 by wrongfully billing. I reported him to the insurance compliance and filing and appeal and will have a lawyer on him as I am not the only one he is doing this too!
Care is fine but billing has gone insane. They used to charge $150-$170 to see your child. Surprise and without notice now charge as an "outpatient hospital" and bills are $1,050-$1,200 to see your kid for an ear infection. Urgent care is for speed and cost efficiency. They aren't either one anymore.
I was charged $605 for five minutes with a doctor, for a cough, no diagnostic tests., because I had insurance. They refused to tell me how much a visit would cost. I am disgusted.
