MEDICAL CARE AT ANDREWS WAS EXCELLENT. It is too bad that there billing office is either incompetent or malicious. You can't go in and talk to someone in person and anyone you get on the phone is completely pointless. Sent in hardship papers 3x and yet no one can find it. Now they have sent it to a collection agency. This ordeal all started with me making a payment online before a received a bill.
Their billing system is extremely disjointed. You get a text message that looks like spam/junk/phishing, then you log on to the website and can only see one bill. I have 3 outstanding apparently but have never received a physical bill at my home which they say they've sent. All I have received are statements saying "this is not a bill." Their customer service rep basically said I'll re-send those to you and that's great but you didn't send them the first time. There needs to be a better process.
I am tired of wasting my time waiting for a human to answer the phone. I was on hold for 8 min 36 sec before the phone was answered. I told the receptionist I wanted to speak with my Dr. office about prior authorization. Was transferred and no one ever did answer the phone. Do you care at the hospital? I'm about ready to get out of this group for lack of communication and causing unnecessary stress and annoyance above all reason! I still haven't been able to reach my Dr. That's unacceptable service.
Long story short, Baptist has owed me money since mid-2021 from over payment. Their employees confirmed this over the phone with me on two separate occasions early on. Now, almost 3 years later they have yet to pay me back a few thousands dollars. When I call up (and actually get someone on the phone), they say they need to escalate the case to get the refund approved and that they will call me back.
