I had a wonderful clinical experience at Banner and left a glowing review. Now it has decreased to one star because of billing. I went to check in for my surgery and the receptionist said "you are outpatient surgery right?" I said "No" I am way too old to have a major joint replaced and go home same day. Unfortunately for reasons I don't understand I was told to sign my paperwork as outpatient giving the co-pay at 4K. But I as assured they would "fix it" later. They didn't. Dr. Gantner was incredibly disrepectful and insisted that she was prescribing, or not prescribing medicines, against regulations from supervisory staff on her own, which was concerning. Apparently I should shower and/or put on my jewelry before going to a Banner Health or I risk doctors giving me the side eye and treating me like shit since I "look homeless". Despicable behavior.

I have gone to this hospital for ovarian cyst problems for 4 years. As I am someone who is very in tune and educated about my body I listen to all my body cues and go when I think it is appropriate. Recently as of March of 2025 I finally got diagnosed with pcos after years of reoccurring cysts.
