This is my second review for my second experience with this place I get ''mental health care'' from. 2 years ago I was referred to ICAMHS for intensive community care, a level beneath inpatient and that was an absolute disaster. And again this time, after a dozen more referrals back I finally decided to give ICAMHS a second chance with my case now that now I'm older and more mature, where I'd hopefully respond better. Staff here were kind, courteous and friendly both on the phone and in person. On my one visit they helped more than I was expecting them to be able to and I appreciate that.
Can you believe that the community nurse did not clean my 91 year old mother before inserting her catheter and when I rang they were trying to justify her actions???? No call back after I rang to complain. They were going to ask the nurse what happened. As if she will tell the truth. Shame on you! This is Australia. We have laws and ethics. You have neglected your duty as a nurse and so has this organisation. This is not the first time I have had issues. Twice catheters just fall out!!!
