Negative Infinity The service here was horrid when it was Bank of the West. I don’t think it was possible; but now it’s worse. I am an existing client for many years with several accounts. I wanted to open another account. This evidently requires a special person who I had to make an appointment with or wait an extended amount of time. Leaving a review only because I see so many negative ones. Good bank, great online banking app! I have a few accounts with them, personal and business. Friendly staff at the Lodi location. Only complaint is the ATMs, but that’s at all locations. They seem to be getting better but were down a lot and take a while. Other than that, solid bank.
BMO is a Scammy Bank That Will Nickel-and-Dime You With Bogus Fees Avoid BMO at all costs. This bank has shady practices and will try to steal your money in small amounts through deceptive maintenance fees—even when you meet their requirements. I had a checking account that required a $300 minimum balance to avoid a monthly fee. On March 10, 2025, my balance was $300.01, clearly above the threshold.
