Please do not waste your time with this bank. The $400 bonus they advertise is completely misleading and feels like a scam. I followed all the required steps exactly as instructed, met every condition, and still never received the bonus. After spending time contacting customer support and providing all the necessary information, I was finally told that I would not be receiving the bonus at all. Accused of committing a crime (FRAUD) because I was withdrawing my money from their bank. They closed my account and kept my balance at the time my account was closed. Each time I called or went to the bank i was given a different lie about my money, including They return the money to IRS. MY Balance was a fraction of my refund. My recent experience with Michael Yuan at BMO was disappointing and unprofessional. From the outset, his demeanor came across as dismissive and impatient. When I asked for clarification on certain banking matters, instead of offering guidance or explanations, he appeared visibly annoyed and responded in a condescending tone. DON'T BANK HERE!!! They allow people to commit fraud. The staff at this branch lies and will be rude and act above everyone.
My parents have banked at this branch since the days of Imperial Savings. Unfortunately with BMO, branch manager, and Carmen the service has gone down hill. My mother is ill and my brother and I had to access her accounts to pay for her expenses and medical bills. Carmen was our first contact- gave her the legal documents and she scanned to legal and was rejected. Why? She scanned incorrectly and didn't take 2 pages.
