Dear Dr. Shorkey, why could you not take time to call my daughter and talk about this horrible error. No one is to busy to do the right thing.
Warning: this will be a long post. On Tuesday, September 1st, I made the EXTREMELY difficult decision to put my cat, Max, to sleep. I contacted my vet's office, Bangor Vet, in Bay City, MI, to set up the appointment. Luckily, they were able to get me in that evening. I have been going to this same Vet's office for YEARS. RecommendedOn Monday our fur baby Sissy suddenly started panting with her tongue hanging out. With no idea what was wrong, we called Bangor Vet Clinic to ask if this was serious. She had only been there twice before. They said please bring her over right away. We did. Right away they gave her oxygen, steroid shot and finally CPR. I tried to call but the lines are busy so I will try again tomorrow. I understand accidents happen but an apology can go a long way. I’ve been coming to this Vet for over 10 years and have never had any issues. Today, I had an appointment for 4:00pm so I called to tell them I had arrived. Everyone around me was being taken care of and people arriving long after me were being taken care of. RecommendedMy cat, Baby Sprout, has terrible allergies and chews himself raw. I have been taking him to Bangor Vet for a while now and they have been nothing short of amazing! They really care about my fur baby and help me cope with trying to get him the right meds and get him feeling better! Their prices are more reasonable than other vets and they also take payments over-time. Highly recommend this vet clinic!

So disappointed with Dr Asa. My 3yr old dog, Claire, developed an aural hematoma, which is a condition that will heal on its own if left untreated, but may cause scarring to the ear. It is treated for aesthetic purposes. Dr Asa said the only option was surgery under general anesthesia, which might be fine except that Claire has a serious liver condition (which Dr Asa was fully aware of).
