The pilgrimage that led to the creation of Bangkok 96 Restaurant started when Genevieve was a young child living in Laos. She traveled frequently to neighboring Thailand with her family, and grew to love the flavors and spices of that country. When Laos was taken over by the Communists, her family became refugees in Thailand for two years and fled again, this time to Paris. Growing up in the

Three's a Company, beef, chicken and shrimp, delicious!
Have been here many times for lunch and dinner. Lunch is WAY better than dinner. Besides the higher prices, (much) slower service and lack of soup included with your meal, the food quality isn't as good. Today for dinner I got my usual Bangkok 96 Fried Rice Medium, and it had a distinct burnt smell and taste. First time that ever happened. Go here for lunch. Best place in Michigan for Thai... best satay in the US, best pho soup anywhere... and if you've never tried #23 catfish, you are missing the best dish in the place!!!

The place is small and quaint. Service is great and the food is awesome. I would highly recommend any one to try this awesome restaurant.
