To anyone considering getting the Banfield Pet insurance and wellness plan, DO NOT DO IT!!!! Unfortunately my puppy passed away due to heart complications (which they did not catch) and I called them to cancel my plan. I was very rudely told that to cancel my plan I would have to pay them over $300 to cancel it because I had to pay for the services used that the plan covered (only used it twice for two visits that I had). I've always loved Banfield! Regardless of the front desk issue I've read in other comments; that holds no bearing on the care of the veterinarian Doctors and techs! I have always had a care plan on my pets and have always been very happy with the care and compassion they show. I can't say enough good things about the office in Springfield, VA
I will never bring my dog here again and I am considering cancelling my wellness plan. This has been my vet for about a year and initially I had no complaints. A few months ago I brought my 12 year old Yorkie in for a routine check up, vaccination and blood work. They asked if I could drop him off and I agreed.
