Banfield is a great pet care!! Caring vets and assistants
If I could give a 0 star I would, this hospital missed my baby’s diagnosis for an entire year. By sheer luck, I went to a second doctor who finally identified the cardiomyopathy—but by then, it was too late. If it weren’t for the negligence and lack of compassion from Dr. Kurtikov and the vet techs at this facility, my baby might have lived longer. If you’re considering Banfield, I strongly recommend going to the Lakewood location instead. They actually care about your pets and aren’t just focused on money. Good luck.
This location's service level continues to decline each time I visit. This visit was for pre-paid dental cleaning which included anesthesia. I dropped off my dog@8am, but didn't get started til 10:30. It was recommended a tooth be pulled due to how dark it was. This would NOT be covered by any of my 2 insurances. It was recommended I have X-rays done, which cost extra. Once I got my dog back & took a look at the tooth/teeth in question, there seemed nothing wrong, so an extraction would have been devastating. Banfield Seal Beach has been our Duke’s medical provider since day one. We highly recommend them for your pet’s needs. Everyone staff member even as team members have changed, have always been loving, caring, straightforward, and understanding. They’ve always checked with us regarding service cost and worked with us regarding insurance fees. We love Banfield SB!
I went to pick up some prescription food for my cat. This was my first time and they were so helpful and friendly. My cat ended up not liking the initial food prescribed. So I went back to get another (which he ended up liking) and they told me to bring back the first order and they would refund me. Which I totally appreciated because two small cases were $90. The one he liked is much less expensive, thank goodness.
