Gracie is a 1 year old, 65 pound, pitbull mix. She has a bacterial caused skin rash and is in need of antibiotics. Upon seeing Gracie the vet tech stated "I didn't know she was a pitbull" (noted fact- Gracie has been there several times and we pay for an insurance plan for all 3 of our dogs there- she has a chart, this shouldn't have been a surprise) and insisted that I muzzle her! We were given a prescription from our vet for dog food and when I went to purchase I was told I needed to get the Banfield prescription card in order to purchase it from Petsmart. I reluctantly turned in my only prescription in order to obtain the card and was assured they would keep it in their files in case I ever needed it or lost my card. RecommendedI have taken 5 pets to this location for years. Coco, Phoebe, Sammy, Mollie and Chiquis. The staff there have always been amazing. The doctors there have always been great. However, Dr. Thompson is the best. She has always treated all of my pets as if they were her own. Mollie and Coco were both diagnosed with heart and kidney failure and unfortunately I have had to make the toughest decision any pet parent could make. Our dog was misdiagnosed and is now in a real vet hospital and we are waiting to see if he will make it. He was bitten by a cat but the vet diagnosed him with back problems even though he had a high fever. He is a Mini Australian Shepherd and is very furry but my guess was cat bite because our cat attacked him Sunday night and he was lethargic for 3 days before visiting Banfield. Been coming here with Blu for about 4yrs now so far so good. However since his neutering he doesn't like it as much lol haaaaaaa! Mainly cause the cage they put him in though
Malia and Bricks are always so excited when I drop them off and pick them up. For two large dogs (cane corso) I love the attention they give them.
The staff was professional my pet was well taking care of
I would have given 5 stars, but the woman at the desk was terribly impersonal and inattentive. The Doctor and assistant however were wonderful! It was brought to my attention that particular woman isn't typically there. Had she been nicer I would have told her how much I loved her reddish Brown hair color :)
