I have been taken my pets to Banfield pet hospital on Lombard St. In San Francisco for years the doctors and staff are amazing they take very good care of your pets The wellness plan saves you a lot of money if you haven't been there and you care a lot about your pets go there you will not regret it
Took my 5 year old cat in for a routine teething cleaning. They removed 3 teeth, including her top 2 canines as they were a little loose. I felt forced into a fast decision that regret and that they just kept talking about pricing. When I took her back to have stitches out, as they told me too, the doctor was rude and abrupt, hardly spoke to me and told me the stitches had dissolved. They seem to be money centric instead of pet centric. Such a disappointment. I used to reccomend them!
In LA we tried Modern Animal and switched to Banfield after a horrible experience with one of the vets at the Beverly location. I’ve been with Banfield coming up on I believe 3 or 4 years now. From the receptionist to the vet, everyone here is extremely kind, patient, and knowledgeable. It has come up to a year since going here and I have not had any issues at all. We used to love our Banfield in Colorado - They were timely, great at communication, genuinely cared about the animals, and even allowed you to go into the room. We thought that the switch to this Banfield would be easy. Boy were we wrong. This Banfield feels the need to keep the pets for HOURS just for a simple checkup or vaccination. Not to mention that they are terrible at communication and the doctors don’t come to talk to/update you.
