Originally built as a private women's clubhouse in 1928 then converted to a University sorority in the 1970s, this National Register landmark became a hotel in the early 1990s. Designed by the famous Bay Area architect Walter T. convenient I've been to the Bancroft Hotel a couple of times for information sessions and social events. The hotel has a great location across the street from campus and next door to Cafe Strada. The hotel itself is very clean and the employees are very nice and willing to help you with whatever you need. The food at the sessions is ok, it could be better, but it's definitely not bad. Pretty little place at night The Bancroft Hotel is a pretty place at night as you can easily see on their webpage. What I like best about the hotel is the very specific service to its customers. The staff is friendly and helpful and they are very oriented toward helping you. But it also is a small place and thus not many rooms. So it might be filled up. The parking lot is also quite small.
