I am an immigrant with Highly-skilled-worker visa (semiconductor industry, software, research), I contacted them through the website submission when SB 1070 enacted. I had some questions. I received prompt reply, very specific on what to do on when I am stopped - I carry my driver licence but I don t carry my passports/papers as they are hard to replace. Dan is a stand-up guy. He was honest with me even when I didnt really want him to be honest. (Long story, but in the end his advice was exactly what I should have done.) If you want a yes-man who will do what you want even if its going to leave you in the crap later, there are other lawyers who will do that. Mr. Ballecer doesnt pretend like he can fix everything just so he can take your money, hell tell you what your chances are and then, if you ignore his advice, do what you want.
Bad customer service! Dan Ballecer doesnt return phone calls. I know somebody who hired him as their immigration attorney but he totally neglected their case after paying him! Tsk! Tsk! All they want is your money, full of promises! Beware! Somebody should report them, theyre deceiving their clients!
The sad thing about being an attorney is that people will never thank you when you do a good job. The funny thing about being a REALLY good attorney is that people will HATE you for being honest.I have known Dan Ballecer for years, ever since he helped a relative out of a bad place. The wierd thing abut him is that he actually told us "I could take your money, file all the motions and the results would still be the same, or we can take the plea and work from there with a much better chance of sucess." -- I didnt think lawyer... read more
