We rented a flat in the Ballard Public Lofts building for 10 months while renovating our house. The management team is fantastic and makes this place truly special. Jennifer organizes the best community events fostering a great atmosphere between neighbors. The facilities are nice and very well maintained. The bonus of the location is you are just upstairs from Cloudy cafe which has great coffee and pastries. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place to rent in Ballard.
The building and units are very beautiful. The details are so lovely that I have zero urge to put up wallpaper or do anything but hang my art. The rooftop lounge is gorgeous. The views are essentially 360 degrees of pure beautiful Seattle. It was one of the selling points for me. It’s also a great location in Ballard. Not smack dab in the middle of the commercial district so you have some peace, but close enough to be a quick walk to the farmers market and shops and grocery store. Emma has made my experience exceptional. Attention to detail, quick response and gave good neighborhood recommendations. BRAVO!
The apartment itself was very nice. but the treatment i got was not. the upkeep of the general building and amenities was not. Kara the first building manager was very condescending and unhelpful. for instance, my old roommate dropped off a painting of mine when i first moved and he said that she was outwardly rude to him and tired to refuse taking it for a couple hours until i get out of work to retrieve it. there was another occasion where i was followed home while driving so i parked in a guest spot in the guest spot in t... read more
