After 1 month of living here….Unannounced intrusion at 9:27pm without a phone call. We didn’t hear anyone knock, and maintenance let themselves in and alerted us by flickering the lights on and off, waking up our toddler. No surprise, but they didn’t find the leak they were looking for because we didn’t have one and we said this much. Absolutely love living at The Wilcox! From the moment I moved in, the experience has been nothing short of amazing. The building is modern, clean, and located in the heart of Ballard—close to everything you need, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. I want to leave a specific review of leasing consultant Blaine to commend him for how he handled a building wide electricity outage this past weekend. Effectively and frequently communicated with all tenants so we know what was happening, that he and Thor covered the front door since fobs didn't work, and asked the we definitely contact him with any specific issues or questions. The 3 star is for Avenue 5 but I give Blaine 5 stars.
The building and appliances are fairly modern, the location within Ballard is great, and the management/staff are super nice and incredibly responsive!
If I could give 6 stars, I would. Jacob Van Horn is in a league of his own. Living at The Wilcox has been an incredible experience — and 90% of that is because of Jacob, the property manager extraordinaire.
