The room was a disappointment. It was very expensive and for the price it should have had nicer amenities. I would try one of the upstairs rooms instead of the more-expensive private bathroom ones.
Beware. This is more of an old boarding house and than it is an inn/hotel. Shared bathrooms. Smelly. Very loud at night and room was hot. No AC so windows had to be open. Listened to drunks, motorcycles and horns until 3:00 AM.Tipoff was the complimentary ear plugs in the room.
The street noise can be loud well into the wee hours. It takes some getting used to for sharing bathrooms, but I never had to wait for the bathroom and the shared bathrooms are well maintained. The historic vibe of the building was cool. I also loved being right there for the Ballard Farmers' Market. So many restaurants just a hop, skip, and jump from the street entrance.
Stay away from this ballad Inn , they have roaches and bedbugs
Friendly staff, unbeatable location and good room options and pricing. There is street noise but was minimized with the room fan.
