Best kept secret in Seattle. My husband and I love coming here and working out at the adjacent Olympic Athletic Club. It's the perfect long-weekend getaway!
The worst rooms I have ever stayed in, for lot of money too. Another guest said the same. My room had a rolling floor AC unit vented out the window on a noisy street at ground level. The room came with two set of ear plugs, which tells you how bad it is. Two shared toilets and one shared shower for the entire inn. Complete rip off!
Very cute well maintained historic hotel. I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I will say the Ballard Inn is not for everyone and give this word of caution: this place is more of a hostel vibe. While the rooms are comfortable they are small. The bathrooms and showers are shared spaces. My time here they have always been well maintained and clean. There is a lot of noise from the street so bring ear plugs. There is no central air. I always give an honest op-ed. 🤷♂️😬 2 minor complaints. 1. The portable AC unit needs a better plan of execution. 2. Not much of a complaint, but sort of a mention. This building, despite being owned by Hotel Ballard, it is very different. Shared hallway shower room, and toilet rooms. Some may not like that, but if you're not staying more than one night... you might not want to stay. Lastly... ok,... a 3rd minor complaint sorta. 3. If you are going to provide TV. At least invest in channels. Or.. just skip watching TV. 😅... read more
People doing drugs to the point that the smell permeated into our room. We complained, and asked to be moved. They said they couldn't move us because other rooms available were more expensive and security didn't do anything. We checked out at 10pm to get another hotel and were denied a refund for that night. Stay at your own risk. If they had refunded our last night, in which we didn't even stay, then I wouldn't have to leave this review. :(
