Our mom moved here to be closer to us than the superior facility she left. Many staff members were good and tried hard, but when Woodland was sold to Kisco the manager was replaced by a corporate suit wannabe. I do not think he knew anything about elder care, as many of the things he communicated were truly nonsense.Simple requests for help were met with eviction threats, and my family did not feel comfortable visiting because of one of the busybody night clerk's behavior. ONE thing to note - the AVERAGE AGE ii Independent living is 85. The activities staff is excellent, lots of activities and the grounds are beautiful. And the residents are marvelous, supportive, friendly and delightful. BUT the food is mediocre and often mistakes are made in orders. Tonight I ordered an entree salad with feta cheese and was served an entree salad with goat cheese. I am violently allergic to goat cheese, and vomit violently from the tiniest amount.
