I wouldn't recommend this accounting firm period. My mother has had her taxes done here for years. She has always paid 150 dollars which is extremely outrages for just a simple return involving social security and 1 retirement account. My mother passed away in October and I needed her taxes done for her final year. When I took them there and explained she had passed and that she had always paid 150 they told me it would be based on the amount of worksheets. I said well nothings changed so I'm thinking 150. My husband and I have been trying to find an accountant since we got married last year. We saw separate accountants prior to our marriage a year ago. Barry is a local and we both agreed that we would work with him this year to see if he was someone we both would like to start working with. Barry is a nice guy but a terrible communicator. After several attempts (4 phone calls in two weeks) we’ve left messages with his staff trying to get in touch with him but haven’t had any luck in two weeks.
