First time exploring outside of the marina area and lighthouse. I didn't realize there were small clusters of eats and shops throughout the island. Plus 2 country clubs. We ended up going to the "Point" at the furthest point that juts out into the Atlantic Ocean in NC. The waves viciously collided with each other as the east and south facing surf met. Aside from the sand storm that is created by such an open area, the tidal pool was a great place for kids to swim. Plus I found a neat memento.
