Don't ever try to plan a special event with Sharkeez in Newport Beach because they are stubborn. The last weekend 10/07 two guys were arrested by the police, they didn´t nothing and they were good people. None of them were being drunken troublemakers or causing any problems. One of them was beaten to the groundThey are inocents ...I really don´t like this site ... Dave
Pathetic customer service – As a local business owner and longtime resident of NB, I tend to stay away from sharkeez anytime after 5pm because I know how busy it gets. But I have to tell you how pathetic and rude the service staff is there. A female associate of mine went to use the ladies restroom and a guy standing inside the bar area near the kitchen brushed his hand across her hair. THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! – Sharkeez was an AWESOME party spot for St.Patty's day! The flip cup tourney was dope, so was the hot potato match! Good music, wasn't too crowded, and an awesome crowd! A bunch of cute girls came by and gave out St.Pattys day flair to EVERYONE!!!! Luved! We had a blast! Me and my friends will be back for Cinco de Mayo!
Tiki bar – Went there after a bad experience at Dragon bar and found it to be quite the different experience, very popular and well set out with distinct areas, security were nice and bar staff were knowledgeable. The only downside was the decor, kinda looked like a tiki bar (a poorly put together one). Also good drink specials
Mmm mojitos... – I rated this place average because it is really just your average Newport bar...but I went here for the first time on Valentine's Day (or Singles Awareness Day, whichever you prefer) with a girlfriend of mine because she said they have $4.50 mojitos on Thursdays. What a great deal! Every Thursday is "Burrito & Mojito NIght" and the prices cannot be beat. Worst service and staff ever! – My sister-in-law planned a party for my brother's 30th birthday and chose to take a limo to Sharkeez in Newport Beach because they had advertised their party services for large groups. Parties are supposed to get reserved seating, appetizers, and 2 for 1 drinks. Out of all that, all we got was the appetizers. My sister-in-law brought in a party of 30 people and all they gave us was rudeness. There was one tiny table with like 8 chairs for us. Awesome fish tacos!! – Sharkeez has the best fish taco's. THe best cold beer . Always a good time to go, great place to meet friends and large groups and just get wild.
