My friend was vomiting blood, couldn’t eat or drink for a week, and wasn’t able to sleep—yet the doctor said “everything is fine” and sent her away without any treatment or medication. Some of the nurses were rude and made dismissive, borderline racist comments like “you come here very often,” as if we were there for no reason.
