Today was our second time eating at Bahrs. I liked their famous red (Manhattan) clam chowder so much last time I had to have it again. It’s the most flavorful red clam chowder I have ever had. For my main course I’ve ordered their fresh fish special both times. First time was Cod, today it was Black Sea Bass. It’s prepared baked and served with rice and sautéed spinach. The fish is drizzled with the perfect amount of a lemon butter sauce and cooked to perfection. We’ll definitely be back.

I have dined at this restaurant 4-5 times a year for many years for the food and the atmosphere. The quality and preparation of the food was poor. Cold stale biscuits burnt potatoes cold vegetables peach cobble that tasted like flour paste NE clam chowder that had fragments of clam, little potato and floured milk for broth. What has happened?
