Usually a holiday favorite but this year the original herring was way too salty. Normally I love the product but this one was bad.
I am so disappointed. Just tried a jar here December 2023 of sour cream version. Two different jars had a overpowering salty taste to it. Never had it like that before in 50 years. I don't know how this have changed if it was intended or not, but please the sodium level was way too high making it inedible. I wasn't the only person to notice this. Always my favorite. Please check your recipe. Thank you.

Give me a jar of the sour cream and chives herring along with some crackers and you won't see me for the rest of the day. Good stuff!!!
