Dr. Mian first performed the MRI navigation biopsy of prostate and then did robotic surgery to remove the prostate (Gleason n scale 4+4). I had no side effects or issues and everything fully recovered. This am undergoing more treatment with hormone pills because one of the lymph glands had cancer in it. Dr. Mian is considered the best surgeon, prostate cancer expert in this region and nationally. I am so blessed to have him as my doctor.
If there was a possibility to give and rate a zero that is what we would rate. Family member went here for high PSA levels. Had made the decision to have the prostrate removed. PSA levels were still evident after surgery. No referral or follow up to an oncologist. A year after surgery we are now dealing with metastatic Prostate Cancer stage 4 that has spread to the spine, liver, lungs and more, Horrific beside manner no follow up. My only recommendation is to run for your life before this office costs you your life.
While I would highly recommend Dr. Badar Mian, please avoid his Hackett Boulevard, Albany office if at all possible. The administrative staff is as incompetent as they come and yet after receiving numerous complaints, not only from myself but many other patients, management has failed to act on and rectify the situation.
I had problems with prostate cancer and was greatly confused and upset. but all the subsequent actions of Dr. Mian were highly professional. in the end, after a brilliantly performed operation, he told me to forget his terrible diagnosis
I needed robotic prostate surgery after being diagnosed with prostate cancer. I did my research to find a competent surgeon in capital district and Boston. Dr Mian is nationally known and was highly recommended by some friends as well as the consultants in Boston. I can't speak highly enough of Dr Mian's expertise and the care I have received so far.
