Backwaters Restaurant Backwaters is a nice stop when you visit Sand Key. They are on the boardwalk near the Marriott. They have really good seafood and pasta dishes, Great grouper! I like that you can sit outside along the water and dine on a covered boardwalk area. Good stop!

I just happened to find this little (affectionately referenced) ‘hole in the wall’ place, thanks to Google Maps. I wanted seafood for lunch on the water. The bacon-wrapped scallops and fries were excellent. The staff was beyond accommodating for me! I wanted to work and my laptop was dead - they plugged my laptop in behind one of the TVs in the bar so I could work and they worked through wifi connection issues with me too! Super friendly and accommodating team members.
Delicious coconut shrimp. excellent service from Linda, and a beautiful view out on the deck!
We were seated out on the back patio right on the river. Beautiful spot. Loved the lobster bisque.
