Horrible place! They killed my bird right in front of my own eyes ! These people are totally incompetent and are clueless on how to care for your bird. The vet is totally out if it and killed my bird and other people have had the same experience. They use your bird like a guinea pig and experiment with it until they kill it! I’m serious! Go somewhere else if you care about your bird. The staff is rude and so money hungry. I have been a client of Dr. Sam’s for many years. He and his staff are truly dedicated to my birds health and well-being. I love during the exam, when Dr. Sam will tilt his head and you can see the gears inside his mind slowly turning as he analyzes the information he has gathered to provide the best course of treatment. He is a great diagnostician as well as a warm and friendly person.

My lovebird Piper is a spirited young’n and spent time in the emergency clinic on a couple of occasions that saved her life. Recently I rushed my newest lovebird, Pepper to the clinic (after hours)..she was egg bound, with complications. The entire staff took care of her morning, noon and night. She didn’t make it and I think they were all as devastated as I was. A week after I received the most heartwarming sympathy card from them...I was so touched. Dr Backos was and all the staff their are very helpful and caring. Unfortunately my bird did not make it but the staff made this difficult time a little less awful.
