Backbone was an incredible dining experience from start to finish. I started with the tuna tartare, which was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and had an amazing balance of flavors and textures. This was the most delicious meal in a long time in LA, and even better- it’s a local gem. Every bite was so tasty and the flavors were incredible. My fav was the corn agnolotti but everything was amazing. Can’t wait to go back!
My kids really enjoyed this restaurant, as did we. Glad to have something like this close to us. The only thing is, if the menu can change a bit to offer a few new things, that would be even more amazing. My second visit was solid, but I did wish I could order something new. I did see they have a Sunday prix fixed menu, so I have to make my way back again to try. Also, you must order the key lime pie.
Everything we ordered was outstanding. The uni toast was so good we ordered it to start the meal… and then ordered it again after the ribeye. That’s how good it was. The risotto was killer, the wine list is on point, and the service was top notch from start to finish. I live in La Cañada, and this is going to become a regular spot for me.
