Absolutely wonderful place to take your special needs child! My ADHD non-verbal autistic son learned so much so fast. The breakdown of the class is easy to understand as well. I like how you can watch your child on camera during therapy. They really have a great guidance in directing the therapy to your child's specific needs. They know how to get your child to connect and express themselves through music. Antoinette and her interns are wonderful! They take time after each session to review my son’s progress. Music therapy has given my son an enjoyable environment where he can learn new forms of communication. He blossomed very quickly and loves going weekly!
My son has autism as well as a rare genetic medical disorder. We have been working with BMMT for quite some time . The progress we’ve made is amazing. They really listen to your concerns and set goals to achieve them! Speech and behaviors were a huge area of concern . The approach they use is like none other . Affirming care for neurodiversity and sensory sensitivities! I was astounded by how my 6 yo‘s emotional regulation improved in just 4-6 sessions. Antoinette is a wonder with kids and parents. She a great DIR Floortime provider. She understands developmental stages and needs and helps kids meet them, which improves behavior and relationships. Worth every penny I spend and I couldn’t imagine navigating this without her. Highly recommend!
Although we didn’t get to meet with back mountain music therapy for as long as we would have liked for our daughter, scheduling conflict, we felt it was going in a good direction. Although it was not a method my husband and I were use to or educated about, the therapist explained the things she was doing and why she was going them.
